KATE THOMAS

Book & Lyrics

Kate Thomas is a two-time Kleban Prize Finalist, two-time Jonathan Larson Grant Finalist, and 2021 PMCA Emerging Playwright Competition Winner. She is currently commissioned by DreamWorks Theatricals and MTI to write How to Train Your Dragon Jr. for the stage, and her shows have been developed with Prospect Theater Company, Apples and Oranges Arts Theatre Accelerator, Manhattan School of Music, Athena Theatre Company, Monsterpiece Theater Collective, New York Theater Festival, The Dare Tactic, Open Jar, New York Theatre Barn, Steinhardt School of Music, Illinois Wesleyan, and Tisch. She has been an O’Neill NMTC Finalist, NAMT Semifinalist, and a Resident Playwright and Dramaturg with Athena Theatre Company. JOEY CONTRERAS

Music

Joey Contreras is a New York based, Mexican American musical theatre and pop songwriter. His various projects, performances, and studio album releases have amassed millions of streams. He is a two-time Fred Ebb Award Finalist, three-time Jonathan Larson Grant Finalist and an alum of the Johnny Mercer Project. His musical In Pieces was a National Alliance of Musical Theatre (NAMT) Finalist and is currently licensed and performed worldwide with a commercial run in the works. The highlights album was released by Broadway Records. His other musicals include Forget Me Not, All the Kids are Doing It (O’Neill National Music Theater Conference Finalist), Heartbreakers in Hell and Monty, a bio-musical about American actor Montgomery Clift. Additionally, he has written and developed work for the Walt Disney Company, Prospect Theatre Company, 5th Avenue Theatre, Broadway Dreams Foundation, as well as songs and scores for various short films. He regularly teaches private songwriting coaching and masterclasses at universities and musical theatre training programs. CATIE DAVIS

Director

Catie Davis is a NYC-based director who works in theaters across NYC and around the world. Recent directing includes Forget Me Not (Riverside Theatre), Beetlejuice (Norwegian Cruise Lines), Indigo (Human Race Theatre Company, world premier), and The Magnificent Seven (Flint Rep, world premiere). Associate director: Beetlejuice (D.C., Broadway & National Tour), Moulin Rouge (Broadway), Company (Broadway), Baby J (Netflix), Ben Platt Live from Radio City Music Hall (Netflix), The Public Theater, Roundabout Theatre Company, and Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival. She is a 2018 MTC Directing Fellow, Lincoln Center Directors Lab alum, and a proud member of SDC. Catie has developed work with writing teams Phil Kenny & Reston Williams; Kate Thomas & Joey Contreras; Vince Burwell & James Sasser, among others. Brian Russell Carey is a music director, actor, and musician originally from Utah. Music Supervisor: In Pieces, Forget Me Not, Heartbreakers in Hell. Music Director: Royal Caribbean International, Oregon Cabaret Theatre, MSM, NYU Tisch, NYU Steinhardt, Open Jar Institute. Acting credits: Off Broadway: Red Roses, Green Gold, A Christmas Carol.
